NYX Round Lipstick in Saturn

Hello, Bloggers!
I love, love, love NYX's Round Lipsticks! I own ten NYX lipsticks as of right now, and I have intentions of buying more in the near future. =D I'm a little makeup crazy.
Sooo...anyway. I have decided to start swatching my NYX Round Lipsticks individually. I relied heavily on swatches from other bloggers and YouTube videos to decide which lipsticks I should buy since the swatches both Cherry Culture and NYX have aren't anywhere near the actual color of the lipsticks. I also prefer lipstick swatches actually on lips instead of on the arm. Therefore, I decided to make blog posts on my NYX Round Lipsticks.

Today, I am swatching NYX Round Lipstick in Saturn.


Saturn is a gorgeous bright pinkish red. It has gold shimmer in it, which makes it a bit more wearable in my opinion.

*The above photo was taken outdoors in natural lighting. I didn't use anything on my lips that would effect the color outcome of this lipstick, such as lip liner or lip gloss. Saturn was applied over my extremely pale, bare lips.

I really like the color payoff of Saturn. It's extremely pigmented and very opaque. However, like all NYX lipsticks, it doesn't last too long. I find that it has the least staying power out of my NYX lipsticks. If you lightly touch your lips with it on, the color will come completely off. So, it's not my favorite, but it is a really pretty color. I'm just not willing to deal with the upkeep it requires to keep it staying in place and prevent it from feathering.

Okay, so I've been really sick lately, and I've been really behind on blogging. So...I decided to do this tag, which is supposed to be in video form, but since I'm sick, I'm going to do it on my blog. I was not tagged to do this, but I've always seen it around and it looked interesting, so here we go... =)

SKINCARE
-How many times do you wash your face daily?

I wash my face once in the morning and once before I go to bed.

-What skin type do you have? (dry,oily,combo)

I have extremely oily skin.
-What is your current facial wash?

I use a lot of Mario Badescu products, so nothing in particular.
-Do you exfoliate?

Yes, I do.
-What brand do you use?

I use a Dove Gentle Exfoliating Daily Facial Cleanser
-What moisturizer do you use?

I don't usually moisturize my face, because it's so oily. However, when I do, it's Ponds.
-Do you have freckles?

I have two on my face...
-Do you use eye cream?

No.
-Do you or did you have acne prone skin?

I do have acne prone skin. =[
-Did you ever have to use Pro-activ?
Yes, I have in the past. It didn't work. At all. I hate the product.

MAKE-UP
-What foundation do you use?

I use Revlon ColorStay in Ivory.
-How about concealer?

I use Revlon ColorStay Blemish Concealer in Fair.
-Do you know your undertone color?

I'm pretty sure I am cool toned.
-What do you think of fake eyelashes?

I don't use them, but they can look pretty awesome.
-Did you know that you are suppose to change your mascara every 3 months?

Yes, but I typically don't follow that rule.
-What brand of mascara do you use?

I use the Maybelline XXL Pro Extensions mascara. It is AMAZING.
-Sephora or MAC?

I have never owned a product from either, but I would say MAC, because it looks awesome.
-Do you have a MAC Pro-card?

Nope, I don't even own a single MAC product. Yay for being cheap?
-What makeup tools do you use in make up application?

I use sponges for my foundation, a concealer brush, eyeshadow brushes, blush brush, and contour blush. I think that's it... Perhaps.
-Do you use make-up base/primer for the eyes?

Absolutely! The Urban Decay Primer Potion is my little miracle worker. I couldn't wear eyeshadow before I got it!
-For the face?

I use a Monistat Chaffing Gel. Hey, you! Stop judging me! =) It's great.
-What is your favorite eyeshadow (color or shade)?

I don't really have a favorite eyeshadow... I love, love, love my 120 palette and everything in it, though! My favorite color is purple, FYI.
-Do you use pencil or liquid eyeliner?

I usually just use a pencil liner.
-How often do you poke your eyes with an eyeliner pencil?

Never.
-What do you think of pigment eyeshadows?

I think they're awesome and messy at the same time.
-Do you use mineral makeup?

I use the bareMinerals Mineral Veil as a finishing base.
-What is your favorite lipstick?

Ummm...everything? I'm a lipstick fanatic! You can't make me choose just one! Okay...maybe NYX's Pandora. It's awesome and truly purple. It makes me feel vampy. XD
-How about lipgloss?

I really like the Sally Hanson 12 Hour Lip Treatments.
-What is your favorite blush to use?

I really like CoverGirl Cheekers Blush in Rose Silk.
-Do you buy your makeup on ebay?

I bought my 120 palette on Ebay.
-Do you like drugstore makeup?

I LOVE drugstore makeup! Especially the really cheap kind.
-Do you go to CCO's? (cosmetic company outlets)

No. I've never even heard of that, I don't think.
-Did you ever consider taking make-up classes?

Sometimes... Sometimes I dream of being a makeup artist. Then my dad crushes my dream.
-Are you clumsy in putting on makeup?

Occasionally. I just make minor mistakes, like everyone else.
-Name a makeup crime that you hate?

I really don't like people that shave/pluck out their eyebrows and draw a too thin/thick line.
-Do you like colorful shades of makeup (lipstick,eyeshadow) or neutral ones?

I absolutely love colorful shades. I cannot stand anything neutral most of the time.
-Which celebrity always has great make up?

Um...well...I don't really follow celebrities or notice their makeup, because it's usually toned down. I really like Marlena from Makeup Geek if you'd consider her a celebrity. =)
-If you could leave the house using just ONE make up item,what would you use?

I don't think I could ever use JUST one, but if I had to, I would say foundation.
-Could you ever leave the house without any makeup on?

Yeah, I do it all the time when I'm super lazy or sick.
-Do you think you look good even without any makeup on?

Nope. Not at all.
-In your opinion, what is the BEST makeup line?

I really don't know. I can't chose just one. I've heard people say that MAC is the best, so let's go with that.
-What do you think of Makeup??

It's super duper fantastic! It's amazazing! It can make ugly people pretty and pretty people ugly.

Daily Makeup Survey

I saw this survey, and I knew I had to do it! Sooo...let's get to it. =D

1. What time did you do your makeup today? I did my makeup at 5:00 PM to go out and celebrate my dad's birthday.

2. What's the least expensive beauty item you used? I used a one dollar E.L.F. eyelash curler.

3. What was the biggest problem you needed to correct? I had to conceal a good bit of blemishes, blackheads, and scars.

4. Did you apply false eyelashes? No.

5. Did you do anything while applying makeup? I listened to AFI's Crash Love CD.

6. Biggest makeup mishap today? I got Germ-X in one of my eyeshadows in my 120 palette. I wanted to cry, but it's all good now.

7. Did you have a makeup inspiration in mind? No...I just color coordinated with my shirt.

8. What's the most time-consuming part of your makeup routine? I would say it's applying my eyeshadow! I'm really picky and everything has to be perfect and even.

9. What's part of your routine is the most fun? I love applying eyeshadow. Picking and choosing colors is a ball.

10. What part of your makeup makes the biggest difference in the way you look? I would say...foundation, because I have really bad skin.

11. Neutral or colorful eyeshdaow? Colorful! I hate neutral eyeshadow. I like it when my eyeshadow "screams" at people. =D

12. Liquid or mineral foundation? I use a liquid. My skin is too bad to be concealed with mineral foundation.

13. Do you do your hair or makeup first? I always do my makeup first, then straighten my hair.

14. Did you pack a makeup bag to take with you for the day? No, I just put the lipstick I was wearing in my purse for touch-ups.

15. When did you finish your makeup? Hmmm...maybe 5:30/5:45? I don't remember...

1950s Pin-up Look!

Well, since I'm a makeup addict in the making, I had to make sure I had interesting makeup for my first video! So, I thought long and hard about the look I wanted. I finally decided to do a 1950s inspired look, with "inspired" being the key word. I love the look of 1950s pin-up models, especially Betty Page. I did a heavy neutral eye (because I'm not a fan of light eyeshadow) with winged liner and a red lip. I love how it turned out! I just wish I looked like a pin-up model. That would be amazing, because they were so gorgeous!

My First YouTube Video!

Hello, there!

I would just like to inform you about my YouTube channel, which is AFIxFFTL. I just recently made my first video, and I'm excited to see what becomes of my channel. =D

Hello, my name is Treasure!
This is my first blog post. I decided to get a blog, because I recently started making YouTube videos and everyone who's anyone on YouTube has a blog. Haha. ;D So...I figured I should probably get one. Also, it looks like fun, so I'll give it a try. =)

My blog will probably be devoted to makeup, because I don't really enjoy talking about myself or my boring life. However, I do love talking about MAKEUP! I'll probably post reviews and swatches and maybe even a look of the day. I'm not sure yet, since I haven't really thought about this in great detail.
